Who is eligible?
Your community is one of the 14 counties or 17 cities or towns eligible for the grant.

How much are the grants for?
Up to $50,000 for city, town, and county governments. Final rules haven’t been announced, but counties and the towns/cities can apply separately.

When are the applications due?
No date has been set, but the deadline is expected this year.

Is there a match?
No.

Who is the SDG/HWC team?
Strategic Development Group (SDG) specializes in economic development planning and has worked in more than 100 Indiana communities, helping businesses, governments and community–based organizations.

Founded in 1989, Hannum Wagle & Cline (HWC) has expertise in planning, permitting and funding for transportation, wastewater, stormwater and architecture projects. They offer an additional perspective through their construction division, Garmong Construction Services.

Why should we apply for the grant?
The grants can be a great economic development opportunity if communities have the right planning in place. The money will allow you to minimize the disruption caused by the interstate, while maximizing the opportunities it can provide.

Why should we hire you?
We’ll start by assisting with the grant application and won’t finish until you have a project that has simplicity, buy-in and an implementation timetable.
